i want to find a ferral and real seat that will fit the base of the 10ft unlimited gator glass blank i want to make it the full 10ft plus a unibutt
what is a ferral?
Did you check mudhole? I know they carry that blank. I used them to get all my parts for my custom shark rod i build.
there is a small possibility that you can get Stuart to build you a straight #8 butt, they make a bent version, it may fit on that blank without trimming, not really sure.
If you don't mind me asking, why do you want a 11'6+ rod?
Also, if you are planning on buying a Mudhole Gator unlimited, they are not carrying it anymore according to their website, only the 80-130 version

not sure if you can or not, maybe not by conventional means, the blank may have to be trimmed to get it to fit in a butt. I would talk with Stuart and see if he will do a #8 straight, it will really be unique then, one of a kind, it may still need a little trimming though, he will give you the ID on the ferrule so you will know for sure.
what reel will be going on it? make sure the screws for the clamp will clear on what ever butt you go with, check the OD of the butt.
