Ok i met this girl when i was like 14 or so and have liked her since i was like 16 but never acted on it. well recently she ended up moving in next door to me and we have been hanging out alot and i get along great with her son and her. i would have no problem dating her and being with her. but there inlays the problem my family hates her because her ex was going around saying she is a slut and a drug addict. usually my family will give any one a chance but i don't know about her. i asked her about it tonight and she looked me dead in the eyes as serious as can be and said that she used to do drugs (pills) but doesn't do them any more all she does now is smoke pot once in a while and i am fine with that because that's not a drug. but i need your guys opinions on wither its worth it to try to date her and try to get my family to accept her and see that she isn't a drug addict and that she is a good person or just say forget it and not even bother dating her. i mean i have never had this much in common with some one ever. so sfsc what do i do?
Dude I say go for it if it's something u truly want then ur family will accept it in the long run. In the end ur family wants u to be happy. And besides what's the worse that can happen u get a free ride and it's over. So be it. I say have fun and it's worth a try especially I'f ur asking advice from us. Best advice I can give you, Take Your Time!! theres no need to date someone right after you meet or re connect with them. Take it slow and let it play out, gotta use your past to learn from.

Well I'd say maybe there is a chance her ex may be just trying to drag her name through the mud because he may be unhappy with how the relationship ended or how it was when he was with this girl, maybe she's really a sweetheart. Lord knows I have quite a few ex-girlfriends myself and I'm sure some of them don't have the kindest things to say about me and vica versa..
However, there is also the chance that maybe the ex is on to something so I'd be careful..and early on if there's any tendencies towards being a "drug addict" or "slut" you need to let her go before getting too attached. These types of chicks are like cancer cells, if they get in your system you need to cut them out asap before they get worse and spread 
If she's clean, shows herself to be trustworthy, ect your family will accept her and be happy that you are happy.

hahaha, i know how you feel about the cold, i was fishin so hard winter break i caught bronchitis only for a couple jacks, bluefish, macks, hooked a sail and a shark, but hey, one day ull be fishin when every1 else is scared to go out and ull be nailin monsters, but in the same aspect, life isnt all about fishing, you gotta spend some time with the ones you love and maybe even some you dont, variety is the spice of life.
