I was walking around last night with my wife and wound up at the beach just about dusk. As we were walking down Jensen beach i was scanning the water like all of us do, when i thought i seen a fin , chucked it up to be a porpoise turned to show my wife and it was a large bull shark , we seen him in the surf in one of the rollers i could have lobbed a rock at him underhanded. we said that was cool and continued i didnt get 20 feet and seen more sharks couldnt pick out what they were but looked like lemons or bulls just a lil farther out than the first one we seen. continued to walk and figured it was over now and that it was cool to see that . then again more sharks and even more. this place is loaded. there were no swimmers at all. just a guy surf fishing for like pompano , I stopped and asked him if he caught anything and he said every time he hooks something it get off and he gets cut off. i just laughed, not to lead on that the sharks were massive out there and more than likely the cause of this. we walked another 1/4 mile when there it was a large 10-12' shark i believe it was a hammer working mullet in the breakers. that was a site to see, and of course my luck as i had no gear with me. this place is loaded with sharks. I know this is a hard to believe story but I am telling you it happened,. I will be out there tonite with a camera to get some pics There is a ton of bait on the beach in the surf and I havent seen anyone else other than myself shark fishing out there. just once and a while there will be a guy or too fishing for pompano. If you are looking for some sharks this is the place it is loaded with sharks and bait. I am sure that there are a ton of cudas out there due to the bait. This was a very cool siting wish i would have had a camera to share it with you guys but who would have ever expected this to happen, i guess this is what keeps us fishing .

hey will,
they were right in the middle. if you go over the jensen beach causeway bridge ( near the Snook Nook) it will go thru a traffic circle and dead end into the beach parking lot. there is a 50' walk to the water and that is where they are. we were walking south when we seen them. there is lifeguards on duty there, but they leave around 4 pm. there is room to fish just south a few hundred yards. it is a prime location , no rocks , friendly people, and not many swimmers at all. no one has ever hassled us there. nice and clean , whom ever goes there please be polite and keep it clean this is my home fishing spot and i do not want any issues there. If you go let me know I am not too far from there at all.

I was just there in Jenson last night at Virginia Forest and there were lots of bait fish but no sharks. I fished 2 reels not far off shore. We fished from about 6 till 9:30 I caught a 4ft shark and the other reel got cut off and I never heard it go out. I had fresh lady fish and bonita for bait.

I am not sure exactly Virginia Forest is, but if you caught a 4' shark and got cut off that would mean the that there were sharks there just not in the amount that i seen north of you . it was right about dusk when i seen them then it got dark they were in schools of mullet. let me know when you go back out there. I am gonna go catch some fresh cudas oafter work and try to get out there if at all possible this evening. hoping my friend will loan me his shark rod as mine are all torn down at the moment

Rong ,
that is very kind of you, I really appreciate the offer, but i do not ever borrow anything from anyone you never know what could happen so i dont put myself in that position, But next time you go that way give me a yell . I could meet up with you and we could soak a few baits, as for tonite i will not be able to make it , the wife is not feeling well and i have to watch the lil ones. I really appreciate your offer and thank you very much .

p.s.= I have the shark rod on the rod wrapper right now trying to get it done waiting on the new guides to come in and i will be back in business again atleast with one rod for now anyhows
