you could do a albright knot. unless some one around you has hollow core braid and you can do a splice like that.

He mention smallest- that's THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE IT RELIABLE AND SMALLEST - Which is 100% knot - unless we talk about something less the 90% knot strength - the options are multiple, but not smallest.

A knot would be albright but do the hollow core connection you can go get 12 ft of it from any place that sells it really and its a perfect connection

What size tip is this going through? I would first try the strongest knots and see if they fit. IE modified bristol, then albright. If still too big then you could try a uni to uni

a uni to uni i think is bigger then a albright. i would go with the hollow core splice.

When doing a blood knot like the uni to uni you have to factor in more wraps on the lighter side of the line and see what comes out strongest, i've seen a chart of knots and how many times to wrap them, i just cant remember where I saw it.

Just an average fisherman.

There are a few different knots I've seen/know of.As soon as I get the line I'
m going to play around and see what i can come up with.I dont want any braid at all. That would defeat the abrasion resistance.thanks for the input I'll let you know what I come up with when the time comes.

Not really the mono is inside the braid and its a total of like 4 yards of braid that would be the most unlikely cut off ever

I have the feeling that you are somewhat shy to try the hollow knotless knot, which was the one that was said in earlier posts. Overall - is all about being successful once, to know that works. This reminds me about electrical tape over the hook and wrapped on the wire - two feet high.

a section about 10 foot long of 200lb hollow braid would be the best connection. I make windons just like this and they have never failed me. 130 mono to 200 lb mono with 200lb hollow splice.
