How is it going everyone? Any good stories lately?

I havent posted in a while more due to not understanding my new computer then anything, but I have been following the page on a daily basis. Looks like the fishing on your side of the country is good as always with a wide variety of fish being taken and plenty of big sharks.

Over hear the fishing has been a little slow. I managed my best batray recently that was 55" wide and an estimated 200Lbs (bigger then the current World Record fish I might add). Also got some decent Leopard sharks to 4'7" ( babies by your standards  ).

Just got SCUBA certified today :D and heading to southern California tomorrow to chase some more fish.

Also my dad was talking about possible (doubt it) sending me to Florida for a week to sample your awresome fishery and land some shore sharks

Thats what I have been up to, any notible events, sights, activities(maybe catches not posted) in your guys daily lives?

The chart on SCSF said a 55" was 194 on one and 205 in the other.

We have some bulls starting to show up in some of my spots I fish.
I just have been working so much it's hard to fish the way I need to.
I try to do weekly reports, but I've been slacking off.

Anybody Seen the TV "news" story on the guy up North ,Nantucket,I think, catching a 7foot sandbar ?
On spinning gear & he grabs the tail & drags it out onto the Beach,
They think that's "news" ,
Would love to see thier reactions to the catches on site HERE!
He saidHE BAITS up with "Half a 10# Bluefish, flips it about TEN FEET OFF SHORE ,&waits......Took him 45 minutes to land this 7footer,

The station would obviously go wild for footage of the BEASTS caught by Members here , but would Club really want thier coverage?

it took my wife a little over an hour to land a 7'1" sand bar on a saltist 50 with 30lb mono.

and i don't think it would do the sport any good. you'd have guys like that dude from Texas who caught the pending WR mako lined up for a shot at a "killer"...

you have a link?

I tried to tell these kids that publicity is not always the best in the world when it comes to Shark fishing but they insisted on sending the story and pics/vids to the news. http://www.wfla.com/story/22832923/tamp ... bull-shark theyre young and never seen a Shark like this. Their largest was big tippers. They freaked out when I brought out my 12/0 and Okuma Titus 50W with 200lb power pro. She was released and swam off after I revived her in waist deep water (which they freaked out over too). People did not READ the story they just ASSUMED it was killed so there is alot of nasty and ignorant comments on the story. Just an example why I dont like too much publicity. Also the news makes up its own crap to add into your story. They said 700lbs?! I didnt think so, also the fish was not measured. The kids think it was 10ft but I said it was MAYBE 8.5ft? The fish was landed on my Okuma Titus 50W with 200lb power pro, the fight was around 3hrs on the 18ft boat, the fish towed us close to 5 mi from where it was hooked. It spent most of its time straight down under the boat about 35ft down refusing to come up and just towing the boat around. She ate a Big Stingray wing. In "Shark vid 3" Im the one on the rod making fun of them lol.

i don't know man, it looks 9ft and 450+. i have one just over 8 that doesn't even look that big in the pics.. although I'm a little bigger than average for comparison. still a solid fish.

There was a bullshark on the beach on Okaloosa island Friday. jaws cut out, fins and tail missing, carcass rotting...
