Hey Tom(boatless) and Wayne-- Do we kill sharks on purpose?

This was written by Wayne Slusser(team finaddicts) and Tom Argue owner of boatlessfishing after I posted the pics of all the winning sharks from the 2010 Big Hammer Challenge on the boatlessfishing website last week. Tom Argue himself had invited me back into his site months ago only to once again delete my account .Tom I don't need you or your site .Thanks for another attack on shark fisherman again. That's what we get for trying to reach out to those on the boatless site and unite the land-based shark fisherman of Florida.I guess it proves never trust man with twisted envious hearts.

"Oh Willy.... Why did you start this???? Would you mind telling all of us about JD's Bull, and your Hammer and the nurse on the pier and all the lemons that were photographed out of the water (they were placed on the protected species list prior to your tournament). Or are you going to deny and attempt to cover this up too? Your 2010 Big Hammer Tournament had more shark deaths than all the tournaments combined over the past 2 years!!!!! Why is that? It's time to fess up Willy..."

Fess up to what Wayne ?That Jd's bull died ,,,,,,it's a known fact that shark died. That my hammer died ?I told everyone that the shark died from the git go .About the nurse on top of the pier on the west coast I have no idea weather it died or not.We put together the best land-based shark fishing tournament in the world and some who call themselves shark fisherman go out of there way to bash us because a few shark died. What part of of "in fishing fish sometimes die" don't you understand? On the subject of lemon sharks being protected we are fully aware of that but when fishing from a beach a shark must be beached in order to safely remove the hooks measure ,tag and release a shark.Do you think that because lemon sharks are on the protected list that we will fold like Tommy did and not have our tournament any longer ,,,,,,,I don't think so!!!When the going gets tough the tough get going.Shame Tommy caved in to pressure and but i guess his heart is not in it,,,never really was.

Tom Argue of boatlessfishing wrote this

"No one posts DEAD Sharks Here this is my rule and a few of those sharks posted were dead with in hours of the release, it is public Knowledge.

Everyone here know this rule and it was posted in the SFSC site so sorry I will not allow the promotion of any Tourney that has a a unacceptable percentage of Shark Deaths."

"Thata all I have to say."

What percentage is unacceptable Tom ,,,,tell me?We had two sharks die out of over one hundred twenty something that puts us at less then 2 percent and that makes us Shark killers ?We are fisherman ,we fish and many of us hunt and in these sports animals will unfortunately die.Yours is an underhanded attempt to discredit ,this site ,it's members and anything related to the South Florida SHark Club. What is truly wrong with you people ?I know it comes from the envy you harbour in your hearts and it will eat away at your spirit till it devours you. They are envious because we have more shark fishing reports by far on this board and because we have more down to earth and solid shark fisherman on this site, and because we continue to fight while they have chosen to surrender abandon the Shorebound tourney and throw in the towel,,,,how sad. We fight for the sport and they choose to run and hide in the face of hardship,,,,,,real character you have Tom.
We work to protect sharks and those that choose to say otherwise are either bold faced liars or don't really know everything we have done to promote the tagging of sharks.Only by bashing us can they try and save face from what they are doing for Florida's land-based shark fisherman which is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!We atleast continue trying sometimes we fail or we fall short of our objective but we continue to work in the right direction. We don't surrender like Tom has we continue to fish, post our adventures ,and promote and protect our sport while all these other shananigans hide behind there groupie wannabe shark fisherman on there board. At 48 I can say that i have learned enough in my life to honestly say that I am a good judge of character and it truly saddens me to see such people saying they want to represent a sport when they can't even represent themselves and what do they prove by abandoning there Shorebound Tourney? That they are quitters, that's what they show with there actions. They have to live with themselves and I hope they find the courage to learn to fight for what they believe in someday.
Good luck Tom 'grow some balls', and good riddance Wayne you underachieving loser.

THIS WAS THE POST THAT ROUSED THEM UP

this is ridiculus, guess they have never had a snook or tarpon die after being released ,or how many grouper and snapper actually survive even after venting.fish die after long battles or being brought up from the depths.it happens .what a couple of pompus asses .

the more i think about this the more it pisses me off .do they not read anything on this site all you do is promote catch and release and conservation.it is really a sad that other fisherman would attach others when we have so many enemys that would like to ban fishing all together

I gotta go with Hoogan on this one ,,,,,,,that tarpon in the picture looks like it will die from it's injuries and it should of been handled differently by the fisherman that caught it (he is a friend of mine)It should of been netted and released, beached and released or cut off(less favorable of options)It's a big catch and worthy but i will not promote the breaking of fishery laws ,,,,,tarpon may be killed only with the purchase of a tag (a way for FWC to make money on the fisherman)but it's the law.In conclusion I say please protect what you love and insure that our children and granchildren will have fish to catch in the future.

ps,,,tarpon may be abundant as are the Goliath grouper but there are laws in place to rightfully protect those species and we will abide by them .let it be known here and now that we promote conservation and condemn the needless killing of any gamefish that has laws protecting them.

I agree with Will on this matter. I will not condone the killing of a species just because people dont think they are important, every species plays a vital role in survival of our marine populations. To kill a fish just because you dont like it is wrong. But i do agree that it is crap that you have to buy a tag to keep a fish. Thats just big brother wanting more money that they do not deserve.

Jellousy leads there thoughts. I hope they (boatless) read the last post we had on there behalf. I do not want my stuff on that website, now later or ever. They are a bunch of bleeding heart yanks that should do less computing and more fishing. To fish I catch atleast 50 ly, sigs, hard tails and pin fish. Then i take them and troll them behinde my zodiak alive, :o and enjoy watching as a king mackrell, jack crevell, AJ, bonita, baracuda, or small shark massacares there but. Imagine the fear in there little mindes as they are seperated from the school and are being attacked by a monster they have avoided there whole life  . As i pull the fish in I put my Gaff aside there head and throw them in the cooler and laugh really loud while they try to beat there way out  . I dont do all this for a meal or for money, I do it for bait, cause big sharks dont eat lures. If there ever was a cruel thing to do it is live bait fishing, and i love it. The point i am trying to make is if your heart bleeds so for one fish why does it not bleed for the rest. I kill any thing I can use for bait so that means i am not a tag and release fisherman. So let ya heart bleed for whatever ya want just hang up ya fishing pole boatless and stop the masacare.
