The beggining of the fall shark fishing season is a bit slow but very soon the wind starts whipping and the surf starts building and right after that like clockwork BAMM!!

THE MULLET RUN STARTS

Here's a good fishing report that illustates the how good the shark fishing gets right after the Mullet Run starts.Jd Hammer takes the two youngsters Aaron and Mark on the trip of there life.Here it is.

old man hammer pics me up at 9 in the morn mon. We head south to fort myers beach 2 hit a bridge we fish. get there and snag 1ray and jigg some jacks up. wait on the tide 2 change and when it does i snagg a ray and give it 2 hammer 2 put out live. sends it out and within 15min bam hit hooked up fights it and it a 150 bull. one down he snaggs a ray and i put it out. hit and another 150 bull. put dead baits out and nothing. tide switches and old boy picks up another bull. like 90lbs. i go down on the fenders and hook 2poons and get them straight down and released. i snagg a poon and fight him straight down just cuz hammer said it couldnt be done.bam i hit a snook. rite at 34in bring him up and hammer hits 1 31in we leave head 2 miami and sleep till 11 go 2 the tackle shop an i deside its time 2 hit the beach in chace 4 my first lemon. we load up and head 2 the keys get 2 the beach walk out baits and sit in the truck as it starts 2 poor. have 2 snook heads out on 14/0s and 1 ray wing on the 6/0 with no clicker so in the truck it comes. i get hit b4 8 out of my hand. and droped it still rainin and i get a better hit i jump out in the rain and set hook on the 6/0 feels little fight it in and its a lemon about 4ft. get a pic and release. sittin with the a/c on and radio and hammers 14 gets hit hard but he didnt hear it i jump out an hand him the rod out in the road he goes hooked up with the runnin man. a spinner about 4-5ft released.leave there and go 2 ch2 and b4 we un load we walk out and see sharks hitting free swimming poons we load the cart up and head out ppiss 5 sharks on the snook heads and go 2 toms harbor with the tide switched and put out baits hammer gets hit first and it cuts him. i put my bait in the same spot about 2 get 2 sleep and i get a good hit. set hook and the fights on a 5ft lemon relseased.b4 sun up. leave there and go 2 ohio mis. a jack and leave.go 2 7mile and walk out 2 the first chan. and old boy gets a bull about 200. leave and go 2 old wooden get 2 cuda and a mack tide chnges and go back 2 toms harbor an bring in 2 big 300lb bulls on top i drop my bait 2 the bottom and i hook up hes strippin me and the hook pulls. go back 2 chan 2 and i pissed a fish 3times the 4th time i hook up and hes goin side ways down the bridge and hammer hits the light out and i see what he sees the unmistakeable dorsle fin of a hammer and like most hammers do he circled and cut me. hammer gets a big spinner like 120. we leave and head back 2 miami 2 pick up my rods and go back 2 tampa 2 drop me off. on the way we stop at fort myers again and i see a guy with a big southern i get it from him and me and hammer cut him in 2 and put out baits. i get hit first and its a cocky hit reall slow doin circles i hit the runnin man in the highway and im hooked up. fight for about 30min and i look down its a big lemon. old man says no bigger then 9ft so we walk him down and take pics and get a measeurement and its 9ft2in that ties me with himm in the tournament. we release and go back up. catch a lady fish and put it out on the 6/0 gets hit. a big spinner go back up hammer leaves me there so i move the 14 2 a spot where we always get hit he comes back and with in 10mins gets hit slow like a jew and starts goin side ways old boy hits her and its 2late she knows where she wants 2 go and goes pop tide changes and i get 2poons. put baits out on out going and hammer picks up another little bull. that puts us at 11sharks pics 2 come in a lil.
