I have NO idea how it happened, but it's hilarious! I hear the clicker going as she's entertaining herself "reeling in the big one" while I'm doing dishes. Then all noises stop for 5 minutes and I hear "Ummm...Honey? You can fix this, right?" When I told her it's trashed, she wanted to replace it. No big deal.
On a lighter note, up for sale is 300 meters of unused black 80lb. test dacron. Never seen the water and hardly seen a reel.
wait why was she spooling the reel and you were doing dishes? that seems a bit backwards.
