Gulf Stream Closest to Florida Coast?

(@willowcatfish)

Hey guys,

As I'm trying to learn more and more about shark fishing, and especially fishing for Blacktip Sharks. I am trying to learn more about the Black Tip Migration and where the better places to find them would be.

Does anyone know where(City or County) the gulf stream actually comes the closest to the south east Florida coast?

Thank you all, and have a great day!

Ray

I believe the stream comes closest to land off palm beach but the edge of the stream can move in and out on any given day so the distance can change.

Blacktips are all over the place around the Sebastian beaches in October, right off the sand practically...during the start of the mullet run. Looks like they stop there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on their way south. Like every cast thick. They are thick pretty much through the so called Florida winter and peak around January along the SE coast. Then they start their annual migration back north early spring. Seem lazier though, fatter, and further out in the clear water where helicopters can take pictures to scare tourist :o

LOL! Yeah it definitely scares my family back here at home, when they see those helicopter picks. For me, my eyes just light up because I know it's fishin' time! Thanks for your sharing and help man. Have an Awesome rest of the weekend!

Peace out!
