A member claims he's caught 31 Great Whites at this location called Red Snapper Sink Hole near St Augustine. It actually sounds like he might know what he's talking about. I figure about half of the stories on that specific post are false.....guys get excited, see a 11ft tiger and claim its a 20ft Great White. But this guy claiming to have caught 31 seems knowledgeable.
Anyone ever hear of this place? If so, what kind of depth and structure is it? I've googled it and cant find anything on it.

I dont plan on going to St Augustine, but we do have a very small GW population here in S.C. in the winter months and I'd love to see one. Seems like someone always sees one cruising at the top sometime in the middle of winter, and one even washed up dead 2 years ago in March. I chummed my butt off twice last winter keeping an eye out for one, nothing. But I think I may have set up at the wrong depth....might need to go deeper.

If nobody has heard of this place, its still an interesting read.

Nice thread thanks Cappy. The guy with the 31 GW's might be stretching the truth quite a bit although they are out there I doubt anyone would have caught 31.i'm personally thinking of doing a Bimini deepwater ledge trip in January on an experimental basis.Less hits in the winter but bigger fish just have to be smart, observant and very patient.

Yeah, 31 is a stretch, especially off the East coast. I would think somebody would have heard of this place before....maybe its all BS.

Pretty cool to watch them though ! Thought they wre Makos at first till they hung around for a while & we got a good look at them ! They show this time every year ! Bluefin Tuna ( Large ) have shown as well , so food source is here , just don't know how long they will stay ! Feel lucky to have seen them !!!!!
