Grants for single men.

Does anyone know of an agency that handles grants for single men? I've been on and off with these lousy jobs in florida since I was 16. I'm now 21 and having a very hard time finding work.I need to find a place to live, average rent I found is about 700.00 a month.Does anyone know of any churches or donations that can help me get back on my feet?Right now there are very hard times for everyone.Unfortunanetly its hitting me as hard as some of the other people out there if not harder.

Any help is appreciated...
Thank you

dude im in the same boat as you. been unemployed but doing odds and ends jobs here and there since i was 16. i finally was able to get a interview at bonefish grill last friday then a second one tuesday. now im just waiting for them to call and say i have the job. as for people helping you you can prolly get section 8 housing. and prolly food stamps to get food. i dont think you can get medicare i have tried a few times and got denied every time.

Each county may be different, BUT here in broward county section 8 is or was only given to the disabled.

At least that's how it was 3 years ago when i applied. Medicare is also only for the disabled or at a certain age 60 something i believe.

Food stamps are easy to get.

SSI Disability is also easy to get BUT takes years. And you do have to actually be somewhat disabled?
PS: IF your on ssi disability your automatically on the top of the section 8 list if you apply.
