Ft. Lauderdale Bait and beach access

Currently in north Palm Beach County and moving south to Ft. Lauderdale.

Doesn't appear to be very easy to access the beach for sharking.

Any locals care to comment on where they find access down here and also where to by some bait? Not many bait stores carry shark bait up this way.

Both access to the beach and the bait was is much easier up in Pensacola where I grew up.

Thanks,

Carls usually has bonito for sale. There are quite a few places to fish from the beach, the only problem are the reefs. You can fish from Fort Lauderdale beach or dania beach. You just gotta fish at night because those beaches usually have a lot of people. You can even try up by commercial pier..

Thanks Scott. I'll check out Carls.

The reefs are very close in?

Yea, and they usually lead to a lot of lost rigs. But there are plenty of sharks around! Get a bait out and you should get something!
