I posted this earlier, but I think I put it in the wrong forum.

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum and still getting the hang of land-based sharking (nothing over 4' yet :( ). I have determined that I am going to start focusing my efforts on the Fort Desoto area, specifically, the Fort Desoto pier(s), bunces pass, and tierra verde pass. If anyone on here has any experience in the area and can offer any advice I would be very grateful. I have seen Fort Desoto mentioned on here several times, but which pier is best? Not trying to get anyone to give up their spots, just looking for advice on the area. Thanks for input and I'm glad to be part of the forum. I have already learned so much from just looking around on the site.

Welcome to the site Rudy. Both piers can help you catch sharks.Only bad part is you have to be off both by 11pm.The little pier is bad do to the fact they run a pilot boat from it at all times of the day.(they run capt,s out to the waiting tankers coming into port)The large pier is good on incoming tides but you will run into the tower monster fishing the out going tide. Also try the bridges going to the park during the summer months they hold some nice Bulls....welcome again Dave
