A few friends have been catching baby hammers and some spinners at Sand Key but theyre getting cut off left and right. Theyre not Shark Fishermen, 50lb mono leaders  (Clearwater pass) Haven't heard anything great lately here just small stuff but I may be hitting that spot this weekend. Idk about the other coast, never fished it but always seems to produce better than here. Where in Clearwater ya thinking about fishing? Im in Largo, if I can help ya out I will ;). Just lemme know.

I'm thinking about going fishing tomorrow, Friday the 9th, anywhere that is recommended near Clearwater since I'm from Orlando. Will you be out tomorrow or not until the weekend? Is clearwater pass a good place to start? last time i made it out to clearwater i didn't get any bites on anything all day, but i'm willing to try again in case maybe it was just the spot we were at.

I usually head out just after dark. You can hit "Pier 60" on Clearwater beach, the guys usually do pretty well out there although they do not allow "Sharkfishing" if you're using a 4/0 or smaller you're likely good, maybe get away with a 6/0 depending who's working the bait house. $8 to fish there btw. Just tell em you're Tarpon or Cobia fishing and you're usually good. I'll be hitting my spot on Sand Key (Clearwater Pass) tnight You can shoot me a text (727)623-3482 and I can let you know details how to get there (little tricky) ;) I usually only bring light castable gear since Im kinda new to that spot. Havent paddled any big baits but it seems promising and I want to, its just a bit tough to carry all my gear and a 15ft canoe with just myself and the Wife. The Ladyfish were everywhere last time we went out there and are likely still crawling all over the spot. What kind of gear are you bringing? Plan on paddling baits out? Or just casting gear? Hit me up and we can try to figure things out. I can also direct you other spots in the area if you like, names Ray by the way.
