Family gathering /serious Tournament on the sand!!!
That is it baby!!! Me, Jimmy Fuqua and the family went on a beach hunting excursion to find that perfect beach were the sharks are big and plentiful, and we hit gold!!!!
I must admit it was not an easy task, due to almost every prime beach either private or not impressive looking.
We started our search from lake worth all the way up to Sebastian inlet, and we struck gold in Fort pierce!!!!!
a real quiet and deserted looking park 5 miles past fort pierce bridge on A1a road, with parking, huge life guard huts to hide from rain, bathrooms, and Shark infested waters!!!!!Guys just imagine 20 - 30 rods with all fresh bait, it will be discovery channel material!!!! we need some one to film this!!!! i predict 5 sharks minimum!!!
But we learned from our first trip here that we have found the perfect spot for may 30th and for years to come. Mark my words like i proved with the Hammer a year before i got it. We will land a monster from this spot with persistence!!!!!!!!
Here is how to find it and get there this Saturday!!!!! Be There or be Square!!!!!Pepper Beach State Recreation Area
maps.google.com3400 A1A
Fort Pierce, FL 34949
Get directions on (Map Quest.com) or (maps.google.com)Get ready there is going to be a lot of action this Saturday!!!
good luck on that but anyone famillar with ft peirce knows that 1. parks close at sunset (if your planning an all nighter) 2. you might get away with 2 or 3 people shark fishing and if the beach is empty but almost written in stone that theyre not gonna allow a group (they arent hot on shark fishing at their beaches) those old folks have florida game and st lucie police on speed dial ..ud have a better chance of fishing off juno peir..you cant even light a cig w/out cops being called 3. pepper park is what we like to call "ghetto beach" and your lucky if your car isnt sitting on bricks when you come back....but by all means
maneater thank you for the inside scoop!!!
However we fished there all night and it was a ghost town, i saw one human life form and that was the lady working the cumber land gas station. the light rain would have kept any cops from venturing out to mess with us, and the park is so dead that they dont even lock the gates!!!!
That town looks like it got bombed and there is no cars or humans for miles lol!!!!
We maybe saw 2 cars drive by while there!!!!
However if this may have frightened some attending, we will have to move this to Delray Beach.
There we are guaranteed no one will harass us!!!!
However there will be a drop off in shark bites!!!!
William Fundora caught a 400lb plus bull there last year and there are big sharks in the area so lets make it happen!!!!
(Bring tarps V.I.P.) a big blue tarp will keep you dry all night!!!!!!
To get there, you (exit on Atlantic Blvd. and drive str8 down to the beach), when you get there make a left and a half a mile down the road you will see a big South Florida Shark Club sign hanging from my Black Dodge Ram Truck or you can call my cell and me and the boys will be waiting in the street to help you carry everything!!!!
Me ,jimmy, meir, sandra, joey, and others will be there early at 3pm waiting on every one!!!!!!!!

I want to shake your hand .Delray is a great beach. Its in between up cost and south fla. We needed a central place to fish. So everyone be there. It will be a blast from the past when we did this every year at south beach in the old days. Its about bringing the shark fisherman together from all of Florida.
Great news guys!!!!
I found two local pizza spots right next to the beach were our tournament will be!!!!
Papa Johns and little ceazars!!! from the estimated 15- 30 people joining us i am estimating 12 pizzas, and if i have to buy them all i will have to go with little cezars, however if we all chip in we will go with papa johns!!!!
I already went and bout a cooler full of soda water and drinks for every one!!!!
And the bonus news for everyone!!!!
My partners at casablanca fish marked hooked me up with 12 fresh bloody Amber jack carcasses !!!!!!!
Meaning anybody with no bait, will be knocking on king kongs door when they put out a big AJ head that i will provide for them!!!!!
So everybody Dont be a sell out and be there on Atlantic boulevards beach!!!!
tournament is from 4pm - sun up!!!! $10 per person!!!!!

I have put the effort and supported every gathering, tournament, and meeting william has set up. I would appreciate it if every club member with any knowledge of our gathering to join us because to go out of your way and have a small turnout is a bit of a let down and not many of us are going to arrange things like this in the future if nobody shows interest. If we all work together we can have great tournaments and gatherings every year, however if the interest isn't there than i see a lot of us going back to fishing alone and the core that we now have crumbling!!!
And i for one do not want that, and i know a lot of you dont!!!
Lui,julio, nikki, jorge, jorgy, little will, soloman pizaro, jonathin wozar, philip elbaz, joey fuqua, kiki ferer, wack, the list goes on of key club members who have just vanished from being in any contact with us!!!!!
It takes more than two men two keep something great going!!!!!
Who will it be!!!???????

Good choice to not fish pepper beach. You might have got away with it once but the cops in that area will catch you there and search every person and vehicle you have there, trust me I know from experiance. They dont lock the gate but thats just a set up so they can bust people that come in there. You might get away with a weekday but no way with all those cars and Dade county tags on a saturday night.
Good luck with your gathering, i'll try to swing by Delray after I get back from fishing on the boat saturday.
My hats off to Shannon for organizing this mini tournament on the beach.I'm sitting on the sidelines watching ,observing ,giving advise and helping any way i can.I'm a little burned out still from the Big Hammer Challenge and all the work we put into that really taxes me mentally and physically.I'm proud of Shannon for putting this together and i've given him some good tips to assure that it will be a success. When the younger guys show leadership skills in the club i encourage them, fully support them, and let them run with the ball and prove to everyone that they have what it takes to organize an event, execute it properly and make it a HIT.I always welcome anyone in the club or otherwise that has an idea for bringing unity to the land-based shark fisherman,,,,,,,let's face it there are alot of folks out there with bad karma who are quick to condemn ,would rather break apart and destroy anothers hard work and efforts rather then see them succeed.Sad but true!!!It takes hard work and alot of thought to put together projects to promote land-based shark fishing and we are always thinking of ways to unify those involved in this sport. My wishes are that everyone that truly loves this sport would also get involved ,help out, and contribute even if it's in some small way.We think that by attending these events is "Putting your money where your mouth is"and shows that you are doing rather then just talking about doing. So many are nervous about "there spots" ,or are afraid to meet new people and they allow there insecurities to build up; they build a little protective bubble around themselves and in the process cut themselves short of so many oppurtunities that can enrich each and everyone of us only if we open up and are willing to share .Our time on this Earth is limited and what we do with our time will forever define us and what memories are we leaving behind for others to remember us by.Each and every day you are writing your history with your actions. The way I see it is you can choose to be an example of LOVE or you can be example of Hate by how you live your life and the things you do. So my full support is behind this project that Shannon has taken on and i invite any interested shark fisherman that is reading this to come out and spend some time on the beach meeting some of the guys from the South Florida Shark Club and help build new friendships with other like minded shark fisherman.
We are giving away FREE 10 brand new long sleeved 2009 SOUTH FLORIDA SHARK CLUB T-shirts to the first ten non shark club members that show up and fish in this event.YOU MUST BE THERE AND PUT OUT A SHARK BAIT TO GET THE FREE CLUB SHIRT
