I hear about a lot of people killing and eating blacktips. Ive always practiced catch wnd release when It comes to sharks, are blacktips actually good to eat if so i might have to try it
It's excellent meat. When I was a kid, blacktip shark would be on restaurant menus.

Legally, you can harvest a blacktip.
Ethically, they are currently at Near Threatened status and could use the conservation efforts.
Ultimately, it's your decision.
The meat makes an EXCELLENT meal, so do your homework.
I used to buy it at different fish markets , NEVER buy it from "Grocery chains" it'll never be fresh, at best and at worst it'll make you sick like what happened to me about 20years ago , I was sick as a dog for a day, .....never again
If it doesn't come off my hook or out of my net .....forget it
