I am going out on one trip in the gulf. I am wanting any pointers I can get on setting up some rigs for the gulf. The trip will go about thirty miles out for grouper and snapper. What would be my best way to rig my pole? Also how good are the fish heads and remains for shark surf fishing?

Are you going out on a private boat or a party boat? Most people use a chicken rig but if you go a party boat ask the mates on the boat

Going to do a 12 hour party boat trip. Was going to do a private charter but the others bailed on me. Just wanting to use my own pole.
