Hey guys,

I was thinking about putting some dacron line as backing on one of my reels, probably my 14 0. Has anybody ever used dacron? Does it have smaller diameter than the equivalent lb mono? Also, what is the best way to attach the dacron to mono?

Abarrell knot is what I use. I use dacron on all my big stuf. It dont stretch it sinks so boats dont hang it as much. I tryed mono one time and hated it due to the stretch. but i do put out long baits so stretch is important. The white with green specks is likley to have blue fish bite it off. I use black or olive drab green. A 16/0 holds 1200yds of 130lb.
