This is my custom rod I built over my Christmas break, cobalt blue thread, cobalt blue gimbal, 5ft 50-80lb blank, finished at 5'4''. My 9/0 i got off ebay. And my kayak i paid $85 on craigslist and patched the hole. Any questions just ask, such as brand names, parts i used for rod etc. Finished rod was $170+$75 reel+85 yak. So for around $325 I have my shark arsenal minus my terminal tacke.
And feel free to post friendly criticism on my rod build as it was my first ever and i could use the tips for my next.
Having never built a rod before I can't offer much opinion there, other than it looks sweet! How do you like that rock-cod handle? I have one that is a textured rubber bike grip on one of my 9/0's. It offers plenty of power for sure, but it gets annoying after awhile. It would be great for goliath grouper though.

Yea it does get annoying. I plan to get a new handle before spring.
