That's a monster eagle ray! A friend of mine caught a 6 footer on a spinning reel and it took him over an hour to catch it. They had to follow it in their boat so that they didn't get spooled.
ive hooked them alot of times well nowhere that big but cant keep them on the hook, they jump like crazy

last year my cousin caught a monster 8-9+ foot across from sharkys pier on his 9/0 and thats an estimation he thinks it was bigger. we broke it off at the end instead of beaching it
