so I heard that the 2012 blacktip challenge will happen sometime in Febuary, my real question is during Febuary and the cold winter months are sharks really around our coast for surf sharking action?? which sharks are able to be caught during the winter? thanks for the info
A lit of sharks should be around by end of feb as long as the water is 65 or over blacktips will be present most winter sharks are sand tigers and sand bar sharks sanf tigers get big but don't fight much till pier side and sand bars are fun
During January-February this year in West Palm beach there were tippers, monster hammers, tigers, and maybe a few bulls.
Just an average fisherman.

If there is blue fish Spanish mac bonita rays or anything to eat the sharks are there.

Oh my goodness gracious me!!!!!! I also heard that the smooth hammerhead favors florida's winter waters, anybody catch a smooth hammerhead?? not a scalloped or great hammerhead
