I rly wanna go out this friday on the west coast but its gonna be 42 with winds at 15-20 i would probly just use casting rigs but do the odds of hooking up go way down with a front going through????

I usually don't do as well during a cold front but some monsters have been caught during the crappiest weather. My personal best Sandbar was caught on a freezing night 7ft. I know thats no monster but its the best Sandbar Ive pulled off. Just depends on your dedication and tolerance of cold and a bit of luck
