Cocoa Beach Pier?
I am making a trip up to visit my grandparents in Melbourne. I have my spots in the Indian River. Sebastian is fun with blues and btips. But its definetly a total gaggle.
I went to Cocoa pier one time when I was a little youngin' and I remember standing there amazed by these guys casting HUGE rods (4/0s
) sooo far.
...Well now after fishing CONSTANTLY for the past 4years of my life lol Im ready to go back there. What do they catch there? Should I bring the 'ol trusty 9/0?
I'm thinking Baja Special on 9ft custom, Penn 650 on 9ft custom, 9/0 on 8ft Gatorglass, and a Shimano 3000. Is that good?
Let me know!
Kevin
The Cocoa Pier has changed! I used to fish the pier HEAVY in the early 80s when it was a fishing pier! Dont get me wrong the pier will always be the pier which is cool! Its the off season now, so the traffic should be easier. At the T where there used to be a shelter to get out of the weather is now a Tiki Bar!!!
