does any one know where i can get a cheap 9/0 or bigger reel? id love to get a international but ill never afford one. what reel would you guys recommend. i fish mostly from piers beach and bridges once in a great while a boat. i want to get a 4/0 for a king fish reel and atleast a 9/0 for a shark reel. so post up what you guys think i should get and where from.
Check out EBay. I bought an old school Penn 9-0 for my husband for about $120. It has the steel spool, not the plastic one. Make sure you check out the pictures carefully, e-mail the seller with any questions you have. Also keep shipping & handling charges in mind & check the seller's feedback. You also need to know what payment options they accept before bidding. Bid at the last minute & you may get a terrific deal. 
every time i bid on some thing on ebay say the thing is 2.00 bucks and i bid 4 it says you been out bid. i did that one time and put in 300 for some thing that was 4 bucks and it said i was out bid
i found a guy that sells rebuilt reels. he charges 4/0 100, 6/0 120 and 9/0 150. how are those prices?i want atleast a 9/0 for shark rod and a 4/0 for king fish, mackerel, and jacks.
Keep in mind all piers have reel size restrictions. Most limit size to 6/0 or 4/0..BUT also most dont enforce this rule "MOST" of the time....
So i would recommend a 6/0 Wide which is pretty much the same if not better than a 9/0.

he said its a 32/0 if any ones been to sharkys the guys name is mel his cart is a golf cart all closed off with 2 of these and a 16/0 in front of him. yet to see him catch any thing nice tho. lol

he makes his custom hooks that i dont know how they work. lol its to circle hooks with the tips facing each other to it kinda looks like a heart. im yet to understand them.
