Cheap Mono question
Has anyone tried these lines?

Apparently the company who market them is located in Orlando FL.
I see under the bar code it says "Made in China" so I am going to to out on a limb here and say that it is most likely total crap just as most Chinese manufactured 'goods' are. I use the term goods very loosely.
If you're going to put in the time fishing for bait/obtaining bait, spend the energy dragging all your stuff to the beach, running lines out, spend all that money on gas, rods, reels, ect..you may as well get quality American or European made fishing line or gear and stay as far away from Chinese made trash as possible.
Your line is where the weak links are, it's exposed to underwater obstructions, mackerel, sand bars, shells, sun, ect..the line is where it pays not to go cheap. I'll take a 9/0 senator filled with top of the line 80 lb mono over a brand new avet 80w loaded with a generic chinese braid/mono comb for MONSTER fishing any day..the 9/0 may get spooled but that is a better story than losing a fish because the alleged 130 lb rated Chinese line popped off under heavy drag.

Unfortunatly some MAJOR line manufacturers are going to India and China for mono and braid production,,,,as long as quality is not compromised I dont see a problem. The Chinese have a long way to go to implement American standards in there industries that is certain we'll just have to wait and see how some of these lines hold up.
