Found this artical about catch and release of sharks. It tells us which sharks are more likly to be affected from the catch and may be help us understand how to save more sharks that we catch.

Love the sport and want people to see that we care about the fish we catch.
Keeping the beaches and bridges cleaner then we arrived and making sure that everything is as it was befor or better. That inclueds the sharks, if you promot catch and release then make sure you do all you can.
Here is a few things i liek to think of:

-The right tackle for the right fish. Don't fish with udner sized gear that way you can keep the fight as short as possible and reduce the amount of lactate acid the sharks have time to produce!

-If possible allways remove your rig from the sharks mouth or cut as close as possible! The remaining rig can catch on to the gills or wrap around the shark causing sever damage.

-Make an effort not to keep the sharks out of the water for to long,if possible keep the partially submerged. I find that dehooking a fish and snapping quick pictures are okej as long as you are ready from the get go. Keep it all under 2 min if possible.

- Have fun and be safe!

Thank you for the article and great tips.

Thought this could serve as a reminder as well as give some new information that you previously didn't have :).
