Call avet and get them to send you four of the correct length screws for a #2 reel seat. The studs you have are for a #4 reel seat which is why they are too big.
Don't let them try to make you pay for them. They should send them for free, especially if you can get past the clueless secretary. If not, I have an extra set I could send you.
I want to do that, but I feel bad asking for more free stuff since they already gave me the 4 bolt rod clamp for free when I asked.
