Just an update on the louvar Mote was called about the fish and apparently wasn't interested in coming out. I didn't want to take it upon myself to call because the fish was on private property, and I didn't want to upset any of the residents. Mote said that they weren't very rare just don't usually wash up like that. A couple guys cleAned and buried her. When they opened her up she was full of babies. Just figured some of you guys might have wanted to know. Thanks again for all the info!

I wondered if a lab might react that way. It's why I used the words "maybe", "guessing", "might", in my previous post.
Surprised someone at Mote said they weren't rare though. They are. I Googled a few articles and made sure.
