So i have only targeted sharks from the beach and was curious about something. I have heard that while soaking your bait from a bridge some guys keep there reels in free spool while waiting for a strike? I have always just loosened up the drag from the beach. Any suggestions from the bridge?

Take off the brake & put the clicker on. Hope this helps.

light drag in gear on click...get hit take outa gear let eat while you tighten uo out in gear an set hook
