I used to fish tarpon out there on the boat. Thats where I saw the biggest hammer Ive ever seen eat a tarpon off of my line. Tarpon fishing we used to get bit off all the time.

Other then Boca Grande and Ft De Soto this bridge holds some of the biggest sharks(Hammers,Bulls)on the west coast just ask Aaron Bunch(941sharker) who fought a big boy out there for over an hour on his 14/0 and got cut off in the end with 1/2 a spool of line still out.Big bulls some over 9 foot frequent there and the occasional monster hammer eating tarpon happens also.Best time of the year for huge sharks there is late summer, early fall.

Any pass to the Gulf can hold monster shark. Out going tide carries the sent out to the Gulf, This beats beach fishing any day. The main reson is the current. Beach fishimg has a north to south our south to north. This dose not beat out going. :D

Bring some weight the current rips through there. Kayaking can be tough because of that at times. But it is a really good spot.
