which pier was the one that they recenly reopened is it the old fuel dock pier ? or the one on the ocean side ? and can you fish the fuel dock pier ?

The pier they reopened is part of the old railroad tressle on the northeast end of the island. So it is not on the gulf side of the island. I think you can see it on your left when you go over the 2nd bridge after paying the toll. There is also a similar pier on the other end of the railroad tressle on the mainland side. The phosphate dock down in the pass you aren't supposed to fish but I've seen people hop the fence and fish it anyways.
