I know this topic has been asked a thousand times, and I don't want to annoy anyone. But, what is your biggest shark on the smallest reel you've used. Would like to hear answers! Mine personally is a 6'2" black tip on a 6000 battle. Fun fight!
I've caught plenty of 3-4 ft black tips on my trusty old Penn 450SSG! Hell of a fight!
4ft bonnet head on Shakespeare micro.
8.5ft lemon on penn squall 60, not the smallest reel but one hell of a fight.

My biggest is an 8ft lemon on a jigmaster an 8 ft bull on a 6500 bait runner in bahamas and a 9 ft lemon on a 9-0
Got a 5 ft lemon on the penn 4000 spinning setup on 25 lb mono while on bait patrol last night . Took 3 initial runs that almost spooled it . Then a 30 minute give n take session had him on the beach

some other big fish on small gear I got are a jewfish over 5' on a penn 209 and 30 lb line, and multiple tarpon 6' -6.5' on that reel plus a ray over 4' across on a 4000 size spinning reel with 12 lb line.

Just fine..I still use all that equipment today
