Best shark fishing book ?
Try Pete Barret's "Fishing for Sharks," Milt Rosko's "Shark Fishing," and anything by Mundus. The most informative book on shark fishing IMO is Mike Schmidt's "Shark Fishing." As just about every book on the subject of shark fishing, these are all geared for off-shore fishing.
Happy Reading
As far as land-based it's still to be written
Like Tyatcapesanblas said most of the stuff written by Frank Mundus is good but mostly for offshore fishing.I have a couple of books that are from the 1980's that went deep into the land-based shark fishing in Florida "SHARKS WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE" is one written by Capt Hal Scharp it has a pretty good handle on the shark fishing scene around Florida from that period and years previous to it.Herb Goodman,The Palm Beach Sharkers,Suncoast Shark Club and others groups are talked about and there fishing in detail is mentioned.A few others i have in my office from the 1970,s but i can't remember right now the names.
Another great book is "SHARK HUNTER" the story of Australian Alfred Dean the all time and still world record holder of the biggest Great White shark -2664 lbs caught in 1959 .The story of his quest to break the 50 lb,80 lb and 130 lb world record for Tigre shark and Great Whites is a good read.Try Google search and let us know what you find,Thanks.
