ok so far as i know no one makes a cover for a avet 80w or any 80w and 130 so i was thinking about making covers for them if i can find the material for them. if i can find it and make a decent cover would any one be interested in buying them? im not sure on the price for them yet but i am sure it wont be more then 30 bucks each if i can i will put your name or a avet reels or penn patch witch ever you would want as long as i can find it. the name will prolly be sewed on. once i can find the material i will make a few samples and get some pics. so who is interested in ordering one if i can make them.
mine will cover the whole reel minus the handle and if its not to hard i will put your name or team name or what ever in it. and hopefully i can find other colors and match the reel. every other cover is just black
I found a Penn neoprene reel cover that fits pretty good - i like the fact that its 5mm thick neoprene so it pads and protects the reel. I just took a sharpie marker and blacked out the Penn logo - works for me. Now if you were going to make a reel cover like the Avet covers then i would definitely get one - those are really nice and I have them for all my other Avets.
i am going to con dan into letting me borrow his 80w and his 50w cover so i can see how its made. if i am able to get other colors then black i will offer other colors and if for some reason you wanted it diff colors i could do that. i will have to make one "prototype" and see how it comes out if i am successful i will offer them to the club cheap. most likely they will be made to order so your able to get a one off cover
I picked up my cover at Gander Mountain. Neoprene - They have them for the 30w, 50w and 80W. Black with no logo and about 10 bucks.
