Just this morning while having breakfast with my wife I was reflecting on the passage of time and how the mirror is unkind once we start aging, friends start dying and memories of them is what is left.I began to think how short life is and how we often waste valuble time holding grudges with friends and family after one sort of arguement or another. As I finished my coffee a thought occured to me -I wondered of all the family and friends that have passed away which ones I would have at a dinner table with me and what I would tell them if given the chance.Boy that was a tough thought that tugged at my heart strings remembering how I felt after someone died and I had lost forever the chance to say 'I love you' ,'I'm sorry' or even the chance to brighten someones day by saying 'everything is gonna be OK'.
Now is the time to be a friend and be kind because tommorow is not guaranteed to anyone.Now is the time to lend a helping hand ,now is the time to visit the sick ,the incarcerated ,those that are lonely and feel forgotten.
The very sad truth is WE CANNOT BRING BACK BACK THE DEAD and change what is done so the best we can do is reach out to the ones that we have hurt or that have hurt us and FORGIVE and move forward because life is to short to carry that burden around.

William I know you had close friends pass recently and you are so right. you look back and always wish you had done better. when you are young you think life last forever and when you get older life seems is very short. it seems that you're at a point in your life you want to reconcile with the ones that are dear but you had problems with . it takes a big man that is showing signs of maturity and wisdom as you look back on life and see the bigger picture.
I'm still too hot headed and really wanna take it to people who pissed me off. my thoughts have been life's too short to put up with crap but you do get to a point in life that you let it go.
I'm glad to see you get to that point maybe 1 day I'll be successful in getting to the point you have..
