anyone ever fish Cocoa Beach pier?
I fish there all the time. Surfers like to congregate there and there aren't a whole lot of fish, but if you're bringing the kids, they will have plenty to do. Besides, they have a bar at the end of the pier. Good times for everyone, not just the fisherman in the family.
A mile up the road is Jetty park. It will cost you $15 to get in, but the fish are more abundant there and they have the best fish taco you will ever eat. If you're sharking, the Cocoa/Canaveral area as a whole tends to have smaller shark. I've been told that the cruise ship port acts as a small nursery which is why there are 2 foot blacktip are all over the place.
Thanks for the report !! Ate at Florida seafood and its locals recommended, ended up being amazing !! Huge shrimp platters and succulent crab legs!!
That pier with bar at the end was amazing !! If I ever become a millionaire I will build a pier off of south beach the same exact way!
