Anyone Attending college!?
I was in college until I withdrew recently. I was a legal studies major. It didn't really have much effect on my free time (I also work) because the quality of "higher" education these days is poor at best, at least in my opinion and experience anyway. There is definitely something severely wrong when you have professors handing out instructions to assignments/projects with misspelled words and other typographical errors. Something is wrong when you are in a class surrounded by people on laptops surfing facebook for two hours.
If you are going to attend college, study something you are passionate about. Read information elsewhere on the subject, rather than just the garbage they provide in the "required" textbooks and assigned reading. This way, you get the most out of your education and you will be able to think for yourself. What colleges want you to know in order to pass a few classes, and what you need to know in order to be successful are two completely different things.
For me, was even harder because i had to learn english, US culture, locations, stores, lifestyle - you name it - at high speeds. I start college 4 months after i came in USA legally - and let me tell you - that's not fun to do all-at-once. After i finished college, i jumped all over being happy that i pulled through, but not so much 6 months later, when i got my first student loan bill. Bottom line, in this economy - is not really worth much, unless you exclude the monthly school payments - but that - ain't gonna happen soon for me .
