My experience is mostly with 6/0 reels with 50, fish up to 8', and fishing from a boat.
NOw I got a 10/0 Senator, a standup rod built for it, and plan to put 650 yds. of 80 or 583 yds. of 100 on it in hopes of catching a bigger fish.

1. Which is a better idea, the 80 or 100?
2. If I do hook a huge shark or ray on the 10/0, is fighting it the same thing as fighting it on a 6/0 but just more strenuous because of a higher drag and bulkier equiptment? Or, are there any tricks or warnings or things I should know about first?
