im guilty as much as alot of people on this site of not posting alot of the sharks and fish we catch. my reason is cause of time, i fish 4 or 5 times a week and get home late so i dont have time to post them. some people have asked me "Y is it that u post them on facebook and youtube before but you post it on South florida shark club" the answer is simple "APP". i think if south florida shark club get an app for the iphone the post will increase by more than 50%. not everybody has a computer or internet at home but everyone does have either an iphone or smart phone. ive talked this over with a few people on this site and they agreed with me.

i like the idea man....im the same way soon as i catch something i on the spot upload it to facebook and photobucket...simple and quick if we had a app....from location the bhc updates would be quick and on location uploads

i already made a post like this. for a sfsc app one would have to code the app for iphones, black berrys and droids. there is already a phpbb addon called tapatalk that is free for the forum the app for your phone is like 2 bucks and you can read posts, makes posts with pictures, every thing you could do by going on the forum. and you can also view other forums to. just one thing to think of.
I'm sure there is different reasons for decreases in posts. I don't have a smart phone, i phone, j phone, dawson's creek trapper keeper 2000 or any of that stuff but my guess is since that we are being eyed by the entire world every time we post up our fishing pictures people think about the possibility of ending up a target on some wannabe marine scientist's blog before they post. With more and more negative attention and pressure on the sport, more people are going low key. But I do agree that this idea could generate more reports it would be easier for people to post them up.
What if you where unable to view pictures until you logged in, this would keep SOME of the outsiders out! And make it more difficult to get info and pictures to harm the sport.
