I have been hunting three years now, without a buck, finally opening weekend I got my first one
2x3 (we don't count brow tines) 50 yard shot .243 he fell in his tracks, it was an instant kill, severed the spinal column
He was fat his entire body had 1" of fat covering it

Thats Cool, Owned A Taures .38 Calaber Cut Down To Fire .357 Calaber(Revelover Model) I Ordered It Through A N.Y. Company That My Cousan Owns. Got To Handle SSK-.47, M-.16, .44 Magum, Various Glocks. Out Of All Of Them I LOVED The Glocks, Their Just Too Expensive ;)

My neighbor let me shoot his .357 mag, he loaded five low power .38 into it and the sixth was a high velocity round. That was funny. Blocks are great and very reliable, you can find them under $500-600 used easily. And I plan on getting a .44 mag S&W model 629 for my next gun, just for hogs. That way I don't need to carry two long guns when turkey hunting. But our hogs are not as out of control as your in the south.

Can Tell You Now .357 Magum, Still Is One Of The Most Powerful Hand Guns In The World. It Takes A LOT OF Pratice To Fire A Revelover That Size. I Love Revelovers Over Semi Auto's...At Least You Can Kinda Fix Them Yourself, (Though I Dont Recamend It), And Replacement Parts Are A LOT More Cheaper Than Auotmatics. My Taures The Spindle Which Had To Be Modified (For The Size Of A .357 Shell) Only Cost Me $250. & Pretty Much Thats All That Needed To Be Modified. Beside Some Minor Other Parts (ie. coail spring, piviot For the Actual Revelover)

I love them both, I plan on the S&W .44 for my first because I like the knockdown offered from the .44, the recoil is easly manageable for me and it is a tried and trusted gun. But my next would defiantly be a 1911, again tried and trusted, and just a great gun. Great feel, great accuracy, more accessories than about any other pistol and again a good round .45 ACP

If You Can Still Find Them The Old W.W. 2 Colt .45 Calabers Are Another Trust Worthy Hand Gun, Just Dont Hold Enough Rounds In The Clip 17 + 1 In The Chamber I Think :?

I would probably buy a new 1911, maybe S&W or Remington R1 Enhanced. And did you mean 7+1?

You can get the 8+1 clips very easily and being a .45 it doesn't take as many haha
