16/0 line capacity vs 14/0?

I actually know a guy who picked up a 16/0 in decent shape at a yard sale for $100 2 years ago. All he does with it is keeps it as a wall hanger and flies kites with it, :roll: , I probably could persuade it from him for $500

If You Could Get That Person To Sell It To You That Would Be GREAT!!! Explain To Him That You Are A First Time Sharkfisherman And Your In School And Basically Your Paying Your Paying Your Way Through By Fishing. Maybe He'll Take The Bait :lol:

I see 16/0s for sale quite often. I believe there is one in Redington shores from a kid who wants like 450 for it.

Unfortunately I am in California, so it is harder for me to get Sharking equipment for as cheap

Sounds like I will be saving for a while......
And for a rod, a Gator glass 8' 130-unlimited seems like the choice of most for the real monsters

And the place I am fishing isn't exactly ideal fighting conditions either, fast tidal movements, lots of seaweed, lots of sharp rocks on the edge of a drop off and fishing from basically a cliff

What could possible go wrong :roll:

More like how could it possible go right
