I sent an email and received a reply from Cameron Hughes also:

"The Senator family never went away. Please look on our web page. The 14/0,15/0, and 16/0 are still being made an are made in the USA."

A 15/0? I believe he may be mistakenly referring to the models 114, 115, and 116 (6/0, 9/0, 12/0).

monoxide , I told MR. Cameron that I was referring to the 117 , (14/0) & 118 , (16/0). I will not stop untill Penn tells me to get lost ! If this is the case I will fish the Penns I have left in my arsenal , but I will now longer support them or thier products ! The Leverdrags like I stated before(the "V" seriese) I still use , as teaser reels ! They don't cut it on a Hot a tuna , Marlin , or wahoo. I wont go on & I will not bash the company , Lets just say on my end that I have found better , to use offshore ! The Senatores however are a differant breed ! They have been with me since I got into fishin as a kid ! Seen some monsters pulled with them !Still amazes me they would stop production of a 130lb class Senator ? They have them all the way up to a 80lb class why not a 130lb?????? Hell you dont have to Mass produce them just keep them comin out at a little slower rate ! I will post when I hear something ! I still plan on calling Monday !

To: "pete quartuccio" <pquartuccio@yahoo.com>Pete,

You are correct, I am answering emails from home and was not thinking clearly when I replied to your email. I indeed confused myself with the 114, 115, and 116 with 14/0, 15/0, and 16/0. When I get back into the office Monday and can pass this on to the team and see what people think.

Subject: More specific .

I would like to thank you again for your replies ! Mr. Hughes when I talk of the 14/0 & 16/0 , I am referring to the 117 which is the 14/0 & the 118 which is the 16/0 . I believe you are referring to the 6/0-114 , 9/0-115 & 12/0-116. Hope this clears things up ! Please condier a run of the Penn 117 & 118 . PS . There are alot of us who would welcome the 130lb class Senators !!!!!
Best regards Pete Quartuccio !
My reply was simple , "just check out how the land based sharkin is growing not to mention Commercial & charters who still use them !" there is a need for them !

Please keep e-mailing and let them know ! We can't lay down on this one at all ! !!!!
PS I did find an 18/0 made by Everol but she will cost ya $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
