12ft Bull caught Tampa bay?!
Hey Sandrayusmc,
I couldn't agree with you more about how your perception of life changes. I seldom keep anything anymore but I also remember the old days. What a waste. I lived in Liberia, Africa as a child and the people of the Loma tribe and other tribes would sometimes apoligize to an animal before they killed it, telling it, "My family has to eat." Still I value the freedom that you fought for and the right to keep one if you choose.
Oh, by the way, I have a Kindle book entitled,"Zahwu" if you'd like to know more about the Loma people and the time I spent there. That's a shameless plug that William can remove if he'd like. It's a free read for the next 90 days if you qualify. Sorry, I got sidetracked.
What makes the Gandy closure more agravating is that there wasn't a real need for it to close. There was an agenda though and it won out.
Logged a lot of hours on the catwalks on the St Pete side. Caught a lot of bulls there. The one in the avatar was the biggest of the catwalks. It ate about a 25# drum. One of my best fights on a 550 and 80 International.
Do I know you? Have we ever met? If you're in the Tampa area, stop by Minnows and Monsters at 3811 S. Manhattan sometime. I'd love to talk to you.
Keith
I dont believe weve met, perhaps on Gandy once or twice I just recognised the base of the catwalk and that one big piling laying down, many tarpon and bullshark have met that piling for photo's
I used to live in the trailerpark on the street Daves aqualounge is near (when I first got out of the Corps) Fished St.Pete side nightly for the first 9 mo or so. Until we all were evicted due to the property being sold to developers for condos (which still havent been built). I'll have to stop by M&M sometime and say whats up. Still trying to figure out how to fish Gandy without a boat, Im about to paddle out baits on canoe but tide rips through there.

Talk about a big deal over this shark, lol. Also, I had a question if the shark was pregnant. If they just wanted the jaws, shouldn't they have gutted this bull shark and released the pups into the water if it were indeed pregnant?
