Impressive catch, would have been more impressive to let it swim and live another day!Just think in a couple of years how big this monster would be roaming our shores and stripping 14/0 's and 16/0's to the hub??? :?:

Don't worry Shannon that hammer was caught in 2008 so you still have the biggest caught from land in 2009.

Thats a bigun. I dont think he hurt the hammer population. When the long liners catch hundreds Noone should worry about some landbased shark fishermans trophy catch. Shure i would let it go but i have a big set of hammer jaws and some good pics. Most of the folks that hunt also usually dont have the same bleeding heart that alot of the tag and release fishermen have nowadays. I'm old school and i hunt too but my heart still bleeds for the poor ole things but his fish ant none of my business. Congrats and keep fishin man. Dont let every one elses heart stain ya shirt.
