Huge!!!At only eleven feet long with a weight of 1323 lbs I suspected very pregnant and when I saw the pics ,,,indeed seems very 'ready to pop' pregnant.

I watched the video and the shark is actually 12 feet long. It taped out at 144" or 144 and 1/2"
The 11-12ft range is typically the largest they have been measured in at, but an 8ft girth is pretty incredible and not too much is known about their breeding habits and such, hopefully they'll let the researchers have a go at it, I'd like to know how many pups a big fish like this releases.

I dont know about the whole eight foot girth thing. From what I understood it was measured while hanging after all of the innards (most likely pups as well) slid to one location

They have dissected the stomach of the Mako. They found a 200 lb sea lion in there. That is a big meal!

Sort of bump this thread back to the top. Those are some serious jaws. A full Sea lion weighing 200 lbs was found inside. Imagine using a sea-lion whole for bait. Great Catch.
