where are you?

ive been lately, havnt found the right spots though -- all i can find are mangs that might not make the slot-- so i dont shoot them -- been shootin some sheepshead too--- sucks that i have to do it from land, oh well -- how bout you? been finding much?

nice bugs

Way to go on the bugs.That's one heck of a haul.Most of the guys that went for out for mini season in the Miami area did not do very well.On the other hand yesterday i was at Key Largo fisheries buying a case of chum for the mangroves snapper fishing and that place was a madhouse with people buying lobster at $9.99 a pound -they had bats overflowing with lobsters being sold. Alot easier for the commercial guys to catch em in there traps then for the divers to get there limit.The best is when we to the Cay Sal bank (Bahamas)once or twice during the summer and we get huge lobster and conch and we make a lobster/conch ceviche with lime,onions,Jalepenos, and cilantro and a dash of Chilly Willy hot sauce.Three years ago my cousin Ramon shot a 42 lb black grouper free diving there in 82 feet of water but he missed a 70 lb Cubera snapper that probably would drowned him on that deep dropoff.
