WENT TO THE KEYS 01/02/11, SEVEN MILE BRIDGE
Went to seven mile north side and hung bluefish and bonita with JD Fagan .No shark bitting. We went to the cars to leave and a Wild life officer asked to look in our cooler. All we had was one snapper and some bluefish .There were two men out on the bridge still fishing. The the officers told the men to throw their fish in the water and kick them off
We ended up with five keeper snapper and a few small grouper and a bluefish. Tomorrow I WILL GO TO LAKE WORTH AND WILL REPORT. ![]()
It's totally stupid the way FDOT has closed the north side of the 7 mile bridge to fishing and car traffic to Pigeon key because they deem the bridge structurally unsafe,,,,,,what a bunch of horse dong!!!Such a historic site and the public can't use it and now anyone that wants to get to Pigeon key can't drive out like in the past, now they have a ferry that takes the tourist and the few marine science students and rangers that live on the Island. You would think that federal grants would be allocated to upgrade the north end or the entire 7 mile bridge with such historic value but instead they spend billions on wars that serve no purpose and give away more billions to other nations while here in the US places of significance are allowed to crumble into the sea.We need to get a group together and get an appointment to see our representative for the keys to start a campaign to provide federal funding for the 7 mile bridge and Bahia Honda both slowly wasting away and no one gives a damn. What a shame.
