Captin John ferris took me tuna fishin the14th and 15th. Just got home. Ant had much sleep in the last week. We left from pcola and went to the patronis, the marlin and the rampow. We caught every thing off the rampow. it was like 3200'. We caught 3 nice yellow fin and one bigun about 63lb. We also caught probaly 30 blackfin in the 10 to 15 lb range. Only bad thing I cant get over is we didnt have room for all those blackfin so we released most of them. Man it breaks my heart to know i only brought home 4 blackfin and 4 yellowfin heads. oh yeah i also caught a 8 lb trigger, the biggest i ever seen. The captin caught the big tuna, i'm shure he is the one who deserved it. I still cant get over leting all my bait go. I did catch a nice yellowfin about 30 lbs. Got some stuff for the grill and the tiger sharks and makos.

Awesome trip ,,,,,the best fillets for the table (Raw or Cooked ) and one of the best shark baits (tuna heads) available anywhere.Way to go Ernie!!!!Any action pics while on the boat?Oh and that's a big trigger fish even by Bahamas standard where I've caught them up to 5-6 pounds. Were you live baiting or trolling artificials around the rig.How far offshore were you guys?

Man I should realy work on that kinda stuf. no on location pics. Mainly because we were night fishing. my video cam dont take good night pics. its hard to get good video at night any way i am worried about gaffing alot more than filming. Going to get new cam tomorrow. My sony handy cam just dont have a flash. Ya would not belive the mako bite marks and half a fish we caught. looks like freddie cruger got them. probaly 1/3 got chomped. big sharks. mouth prints of all kinds came up. We would get up stream of the rig and drift close and pass it drifting. we lowered herring tied streight to the 50lb mono. cut northern mac in chunks and toss them over along with our bait. we also chunked up alot of the blackfin we caught especialy the ones with mouth prints. we set the clicker on and free spooled. it would just start ripping, we would ease the lever on down. we had 3 yellows get chomped in the heat of the best bite. The bigun was caught on a belly strip of blackfin. or should i say half of a fillet. Gona go again if the weather allows. But me and captin John is gona have to talk about my bait getting set free. Realy we planed to have more i think but we did chunk alot.
