Sword on board!

In a world; deep, dark, and desolate, there are very dangerous and mysterious creatures. It takes a skill and a drive to draw the sword. But for those who do, the reward always outweighs the cost.

After some planning and good timing, I met up with Max and Colby to try a boating excursion into the abyss. We started off in the bay with pilchards and blue runner. Then headed out and made a few stops where birds could be found scrapping out the aftermath of small explosions atop the waterline created by some very fierce little predators, dolpin.

I forgot to take a picture when I caught it so I took it out of the cooler later that night, I got two and Colby got one or two.

We started with a late day drop but to no avail, the fish were hiding. We brought that up and got ready for the manual drops. We had quite the smorgasbord going with squid, runners, and even artificial baits.

The boat had a problem with the depth finder for some reason so we had to fish old school with a map  .

We still managed as I pulled up a real frisky foul hooked sword that made off with about 400 yards before everyone could reel up and chase the fish.

Between all the chaos I never got a fighting picture with it but that's alright.

Decent fish.

One of the biggest fishes for Team Sketchy yet.

Exact size of the coffin box.

This fish seemed to fit all the big boxes perfectly... This is the dock box.

Best pic I think...

The purse.

One sad thing to mention was that a boat was long lining for swords not too far from us. They had a ridiculous line out. :?

Haha, it would be cool to make that bill into an actual sword.
