The rivers have finally opened up here. Freezing, raging water. It can only be steelheading season! I got my first of the season on Sunday, got a scale sample for the fish'n'wildlife guys. It was only a 18 inch male but by the end of the weekend the big (up to 15 pounds) females will start moving up the rivers.
Not shark fishing but it is fishing.

Steel head is another fish on my list to catch. I envy you. I'm waiting for Northern Pike season to open up in may to tide me over until Aug when I can get home to chase sharks.

I am stationed in southern germany. Fishing is ok here but it cost so much many. Plus the laws, You have to go to school for you can fish. By law there is no catch and release ( but there is ways around it) And here is the topper their game fish/ money fish is CARP. I'll try later on my home computer to up load a pic of one that I caught here that when we opened him up he had a 2.5 LB. rainbow troat in side.
